Calendar with ToDo and reminders

"UK's Kalender" is a MS Windows program intended to remind you of upcoming events and todos. There are several views for your dates that are organized similar to a calendar sheet. Dates and appointments can be entered into the calendar via an input form.You can enter a forewarn time, so as long as "UK's Kalender" is running in the background you'll be reminded of your dates as soon as the forewarn time is reached.
Independent from the calendar function there is also a todo list where you can enter tasks with a deadline and a forewarn time. If the forewarn time is reached, "UK's Kalender" will inform you of the due tasks with symbols and colors.

Desktop Calendar
Customizable destop calendar

Desktop Calendar places a customizable calendar on your desktop, that can optionally be integrated with a monthly wallpaper scheme. It offers 3 different sizes, from compact to large, and allows you to quickly enter upcoming events by simply clicking on the date. Once the date is due, you will be notified with a popup dialog. The calendar can be customized in color style and position. Additional features include import and export of your events, as well as a event manager to display all entries at once.

Gold Calendar
Put a Calendar next to the clock

Gold Calendar puts the day of the month next to the clock in the system tray (near the clock). It tells you todays date, and will update the number displayed when the date changes.

Move your mouse over the Gold Calendar's icon and you will bring up a monthly calendar.

Reminders will be added to the next version of the Gold Calendar.

Rainlendar
A customizable desktop calendar

Rainlendar is a customizable calendar that resides on your desktop and shows the days of the current month. It's possible to add events and tasks to the calendar and the appearance can be customized with different skins. Rainlendar can also show the events and tasks from Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Sunbird. The events can be synchronized with a server, which will allow you to use it e.g. at home and at work. As a computer is supposed to be a helpful tool I always wanted to organize some of my mess on the computer. I couldn't really find an organizer that I liked, the ones I tried was either too confusing with too many buttons/options or had an annoying layout etc. So I decided to make my own little simple and compact organizer which features an appointment/to-do manager (appointments will pop-up), a calendar, a phone/address-book (contacts), a notebook which supports multiple topics, sync via internet, email forwarding of appointments, print/import/export and much more. All is password protected and encrypted (optional). You can also customize your own skin and background for the application so it won't be too dull to look at (ships with a number of skins).

Appointment and information manager

EssentialPIM is a visual appointment and information manager that allows you to organize your daily, weekly or monthly schedule. It includes an address book to manage your contacts, as well as tree-style notes manager with support for rich text notes.

The address book supports pictures and lets you add/remove fields to customize it for your needs. The schedule provides a very convenient way to mark your appointments in different colors, and allows you to simply drag an appointment to reschedule it.

EssentialPIM supports single and recurring events, priority settings, color coded categories, completion indicator and reminder alerts.
In addition it can export to HTML, RTF and other formats, and supports password protection with strong encryption.

A very nice and easy to use PIM, we were quite surprised to find that is is free.

Create your own photo calendars

TKexe Kalender is an application that enables the creation of photo calendars of any size.

Customization is very easy: position the elements by dragging them with the mouse and change the settings of any element by double-clicking it. Up to two images can be added to a month.

You can rotate the images and add special effects to them. Weeks can start on Sunday or Monday and you can add your personal events.

Each calender page can be customized separately, but the settings can also be applied for all months.

This is a free address book program with a much nicer user interface than normal. Also included is a Personal Info page, to keep up with any personal information you might want to save. The program requires a password of 1234 which can be changed by going to the Utilities page, plus the personal information is encrytped on your hard drive.

Over the years I have seen many address books, but most were crude looking or much too complicated having to many un-needed fields. This program keeps up with needed information, such as name address telphone number, cell number, but... it has a large memo field that will hold as much as your hard will let it hold.
