By file mapping you associate different file types to different languages. So when you open or save a file with a *.cpp extention, for example, Source Edit will immediately use the C/C++ color coding. You are also able to change what files are shown in the Open and Save As dialog boxes.

Projects/Workspaces
If you work on a project with several files you can add them to a workspace. When you open a workspace the files will be available for quick access in the Project view on the Toolbox Window.

Find and Replace in Files
With this feature you are able to search and/or replace text in files located on your disks. Source Edit reports in which file/files the search for text exists and on which line. You may then open the file and Source Edit will jump to the correct line. Supports regular expressions

SMS Notifier

SMS Notifier is a utility for Pocket PC Phone Edition. When you have a missed call, it can do several tasks for you :
- sends an SMS message to the caller (fully editable and you can include when you are available again)
- adds a new entry to your calendar with caller info.

It is very similar to Mobile Secretary but not so full-featured (namely contacts managed in groups). Requires .NET Conpact Framework.

Setup files are located here. Copy the cab directly to the device and start it (there is no setup required on PC). It should install itself and be available in Programs. If you find it useful it might be a good idea to make a shortcut and place it into Startup folder.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, the safest way to do it is to first remove the existing one and after that install the new one.

The exe is not signed so the device will ask whether it is ok to execute or not.

Since version 0.4.14, this software uses the tGetFile system, which lets you store movies in a location other tha \My Documents.

In short, an indispensable program and fully compatible with PPC 2002!
Support of VGA sleeves allows you to see the Pocket PC screen on a external display (version 0.6.9 on).

Finally DivX makes it to the Pocket PC. Is PocketTV in danger of losing its leading position in the video player market? Yes, PocketDivX could really take its place as the number one video player in the Pocket PC world.

It plays not only DivX, but also AVI, MPG and MP3. The greatest advantage of DivX over MPG is the size. A 10MB MPG file compresses to only 3.7MB as DivX. This will enable devices with only small memory cards to store long videos as well.

Thanks to the caching option, lucky owners of a microdrive won't have to worry about rapid battery consumption too much. Like the Pocket Media Player, PocketDivX can handle and create playlists containing MP3 and video files.

Some options are also available, like a full screen mode, color smoothing and shuffle mode. Some negative issues: the DivX videos have weaker colors (that's why we are impatiently waiting for the next version which will provide color correction).

It should also be noted that the conversion of AVI, MPG or MOV files to the DivX format is not an easy task for everyone. But lately we have seen more and more utilities which can help you with this.

GSPlayer

GSplayer doesn't look very luxurious at first glance, but it is probably one of the best freeware music players available.
So what is its advantage over the built-in WMP? Well its that it can play MP3, Ogg Vorbis and WAV files! Combine this with a very good playlist manager and the possibility to have your own skins (some can already be found on the author's website). As far as I know this is also the only player that has a real fast forward function. What's more, you can play audio streams from the network and there is an equaliser with extra bass and surround sound. And when I say streaming, I mean that you can also listen to web radio stations. You can also use Shoutcast playlists.
If you are a developer and would like to add some more features (like support for more formats) you can get the source code with the program.
So, apart from the documentation (which doesn't exist), there is nothing more to say.

PocketPaste is a small and simple .NET Framework 1.1 application for pasting data from the clipboard of your desktop PC into folders on your device. For example, you can copy a URL into your clipboard then paste it into a text file or link file on your PocketPC directly via the system tray icon. PocketPaste also supports the copying of files.

Contact Manager

PocketCM is a finger friendly contact application for PDA phone, it will allow you to scroll to you list of contacts, call them and edit them.
Actually it's the rewrite in native of ContactManager, a .NET version of a finger friendly contact.

What's different from other contact application:
It can be used with fingers, no need to get your stylus. Finding contact with your finger is really easy, it's different than other software: if you press you finger on the left or right border of the screen it will allow you to select the letter you're searching for, release the finger, it will show you the contact starting with this letter. Why does it work? Human being cannot point directly to the right letter on a small screen, however human are very precise while moving their finger. So you press the screen, see the feedback, adjust the position to the right letter... and you're done!
It's animated: the list scroll with your finger in a natural movement, the transition between contact detail and contact list are animated.
You can set contact as favorites, they will appear in the favorite list, perfect to get a quicklist of contacts under the finger.
You can edit your contact picture from the software, simply tap on the contact picture.
You can customize about everything by changing the setting.ini: color, font, background image, etc...
